American disability act

The Americans With disabilities act was signed into law on July 26 1990 twenty years ago tomorrow. It was signed by president George. H.w bush. The Ada is a wide ranging civil rights law that prohibits under certain circumstances discrimination based on disabilities. It is similiar to the 1964 civil rights act which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin illegal. More than 100 groups worked together to ensure its passage.
