I was listening to mike and mike in the morning on Tuesday.They had a special guest host Dennis Leary from rescue me subsituting for Mike golic.Leary quoted mother Theresa about how shed take money from saints or sinners.This was in reference to Michael vick is he really remorsful and doing charity work for the right reason.Leary said it didn't make a difference vick was still helping the cause of animal abuse.At Paul made a similiar statement in the bible implying it dosent matter how the gospel gets out as long as it gets out and saves people.Do people agree?

I had a dog named ringo for 16 years that we put to sleep in may.My church gave me a stray cat in jan 2 weeks ago I brought ashes to the lake the leash broke and ashes ran away.Today I saw in the paper free kittens 6 weeks old so I got this all black kitten today I named him Salem.I hope I have this cat as long as I had my dog.

There are a lot of festivals throughout the year in elmira.Its one of the only things to look forward to in elmira.Every church has a festival the white eagles has a festival,ukranian churches have a festival.My opinion out of all the festivals in elmira the I.A.V ranks second behind the St Anthonys now blessed sacraments festival.I love to eat thats what i do at the festivals and the best food is St Anthonys(blessed sacraments)The I.AV also has very good food a lot of the same people volunteer at both festivals.

EXCUSES EXCUSES

Most Americans are overweight today for a variety of reasons.Some reasons aren't our faults like age and genetics.some are our faults like we can make time to exercise and money we can walk for free.I absolutly have no excuse to be overweight.My apartment building Bragg towers is centrally located near a gym and near a YWCA in walking distance.My relative ownes the gym so I can go use the gym free.The YWCA has an agreement with my apartment building so we can use the pool for free.I also live very close to st joes hospital where I can use their gym.So I have resources at my disposal but I don't use them.So my health is my own fault and I don't have any excuses

What's up with all the celebrities dying off ed mcmahon farrah faucett michael Jackson billy maze Steve mcnair.I don't ever remember hearing about so many celebrity deaths in a row.Maybe it's just that today the information age that everythings at our fingertips and news breaks in an instant.It just seems really weird to me many the end of the world is coming.Why can't scumbags like madoff and o j die of cancer.I'm not saying these people were saints hardly anyone is.But these people contributed something to the world at least.

On July 4th 1939 Lou Gehrig told the world that even tho he got a bad break he was the luckiest man in the world and had a lot to be thankful for.We should take an example from him how much we take for granted living in this country and being free.We can say what we want go where we want live where we want.We can go to grocery stores and buy food and live in real houses not straw huts.We have clean water to drink and indoor plumbing.We take so much for granted and it can all be gone in a blink of an eye and if not for the grace of God we'd be in big trouble.

Back in my grandparents day and my mothers day eldridge park was the place to be.Downtown elmira was thriving with stores.Now they are trying to bring back the glory days of eldridge park.They have concerts and fixed the rides up and have car shows brought big dragon boats and paddle boats to the lake.

FORGIVE and FORGET

I am having a hard time forgiving my friend.I went through a lot of trouble for him and it cost me money I didn't have.It started when I agreed to bring him to jail on the day he was to report.None of his family could bring him so I thought I'd be nice and take it.Taking him alone meant I'd have to drive about 45 minutes and wake up early in the morning.On the way bringing him he was going hysterical crying yelling so I wanted to get there as soon as I could so I was going about 90 mph.A cop pulled me over and I was trying to explain the situation he was unsympathetic to my problem and I still got a 300 dollar ticket.To make matters worse I was still receiving mail at my old address and I didn't get the ticket for 6 months later.Long story short I paid 300 dollars and almost lost my license.I think my friend should pay me the 300 dollars or a least something.What do you think.
